Kalamazoo Area Wild Ones announces our chapter’s first-ever plant SALE! Simply visit on sale day, or preorder plants if you prefer.
We’ll bring not only a very fine selection of locally grown, nursery-quality native plants to restore your soil’s natural prosperity—keeping your birds, bees, beneficials and other bugs fat and happy—but also our own native plant experts to help you choose plants suited to your location.
Buy individual plants, or try our “pollinator garden kits”— preselected flats of flowers and grasses to jump-start your native garden. Learn the basics of wildflower gardening! Or for the experienced gardener, buy whole flats of single species (must be pre-ordered).
We believe there’s no such thing as poor soil when it comes to native plant gardening: find beautiful native shrubs, trees, grasses and flowers for most any of Michigan’s various soils and habitats, especially the disturbed ones!
NOTE: THE PLANT SALE WILL NOT REPLACE the very popular native-plant exchanges, scheduled for Sunday, May 24, and Sunday, Sept. 6, at Tom and Ruth’s house.
